Market Data Dashboard
I am responsible for making market data available to the marketing and sales teams. I generally create a variety of pivot tables and use extensive conditional formatting and calculated fields to improve readability. I realized that some colleagues were struggling to find relevant information and to interpret tables correctly. I challenged myself to create a dashboard in Excel 365 to make it easier for my colleagues to draw conclusions from this dataset.
In order to do so, I made extensive use of the Excel 365 Developer tabs and formulas. The dashboard is fully dynamic without the use of VBA, Power Excel or Power BI.
The data in this dashboard is anonymized for privacy reasons. The Continent represent major product groups and the City represent subcategories within this group. Users have the option to select the year of interest and whether they want to see sales units or sales value. The dashboard will automatically show the top 10 brands within this selection along with their market share and index. Users have the option to compare data between years and between brands.
